The Art Institute of California-San Francisco

Lynda has taught subjects ranging from Concept Design, Image Manipulation, and Color Theory. Some courses are specific to graphic design while foundation classes such as Color Theory combine students from several disciplines: game design, game programming, fashion design, advertising, interior design, animation, multimedia, and graphic design.

IBM

IBM Corporate Education contracted with Lynda to develop and teach a 4-day course titled “Book Design for Non-Designers”. The audience was Information Developers, Managers, and Planners.

Objectives of the course were to: 1 teach principles of information design, 2 show how it can transform content while serving various levels of users, and 3 use the tools of layout, content management, color, tracking, and typography

This active, hands-on course ran for seven years. Over 1,000 students took the course throughout the US, Canada, and Europe where international classes often contained students from 10 countries.

Masters Degree Program

Instructional Technologies Department, San Francisco State University

Lynda is pursuing a Master of Arts in Education with a Concentration in Instructional Technologies.

The ITEC curriculum covers the analysis, design, and development of effective instructional materials utilizing multimedia technologies. It features cognitive and learning theories, needs assessment, instructional design models and strategies, visual and web-based designs, information architectures, usability testing and assessments, and project management.
